This programme of digital shorts explores nonhuman or hybrid states – whether through flora and fauna, mythic creatures or surreal transformations – to frame and examine identity, ecology, society, and the boundaries between self and other.  Embodying hybridity through scriptable media (such as gaming engines, animation, motion-capture, 3D scanning, AI) the works included serve as critiques on human supremacy, identity constructs, ecological ethics and narrative power. In them the uncanny is used to challenge our assumptions about humanity, society, and the boundaries we draw around identity and nature. Each work destabilises how we define ‘human’ and invites us to experience life as a fluid, hybrid passage through form, perception and posthuman performance. Technically these works don’t simply depict nonhuman agents, they collapse the binary between the organic and the synthetic.
