Festival Outreach Officer – Glasgow (Freelance, Part-Time)
We are seeking a Glasgow-based Outreach Officer who will be responsible for public engagement and audience outreach for Fashion in Film Festival 2025’s Glasgow presence.
About the Festival
The latest edition of the Fashion in Film Festival, Grounded: Fashion’s Entanglements with Nature, is an imaginative response to the ongoing climate and ecological crisis. Our exciting programme harnesses the power of cinema to explore the intricate connections between fashion, the human body, and nature—both real and imagined.
The festival has completed its 30 May – 1 June London run, with screenings at the Barbican, Rio Cinema, Regent’s Street Cinema, Genesis and other independent cinemas across the city. We are now preparing for Fashion in Film Festival’s UK run, which will take place from September at leading arts and culture venues across Bristol, Glasgow, Exeter and Plymouth.
Responsibilities
- Advise on a strategy to drive significant festival attendance from our target audiences in Bristol, with a focus on engaging under-30s and POGM groups
- Lead and own audience and community outreach that serves the above strategy, including researching and contacting all relevant community groups, centres, clubs and individuals in Bristol
- Liaise with venues, press, other festival stakeholders, and local outreach officers to maximise audience engagement
- Provide detailed reporting of all audience engagement activity
- Prioritise Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in all activities
About You:
- Demonstrate experience in marketing, communications, or audience development, preferably within fashion, film, or cultural events
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and press relations
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to engage diverse audiences and align with EDI-focused outreach
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently
This is a part-time, freelance role totalling 8x days at £120/day, between July and September 2025. The role is based remotely.
