Mary Barone

Mary Barone is a creative catalyst with over ten years of professional experience in producing, promoting and managing arts projects in fashion and corporate realms, in the United States and Europe. Mary is currently Collections Manager and Communications Director for a private contemporary art collection based in downtown Manhattan. In the mid-90s, she was the Principal/Owner of Mary Barone Gallery and Project Space in the heart of Manhattan's thriving downtown arts community. Previously, Mary was engaged with several highly prestigious art galleries and museums, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In London, Mary coordinated the publicity campaign for Zaha Hadid: The Complete Buildings and Projects for the office of the globally renowned architect. She has also launched the career of contemporary British artist Simon Henwood, developing events and generating publicity for his varied activities including exhibitions in Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and the Hammer Museum at UCLA.
